Automatic Service Recovery
Each CygNet service, with the exception of the host Remote Service Manager (RSM), has an Automatic Service Recovery option available for local recovery. This feature allows the creation of a custom strategy of automatic recovery if a service fails. Automatic service recovery applies only when a service is abnormally shut down (i.e., it fails). It does not apply when a service is stopped using normal control methods, such as the RSM Service Control.
Local Recovery for Redundant Services
You can easily configure automatic service recovery for active and standby RSMs and their owned services in a redundancy environment. Use the CygNet Redundancy Editor to make bulk changes to the automatic service recovery settings for all redundant RSMs. See Configuring Automatic Service Recovery for more information.
To address questions or circumstances beyond the scope of the CygNet Help, Additional CygNet Resources are available.
